Westside holds off Columbia, will play for third straight state championship

Date: March 03, 2024

It wasn’t easy, but the Westside Patriots will head back to Macon to try and be the first GHSA boys basketball team to win three straight state titles since over a decade.

Ironically, Westside’s 70-59 win against Columbia Saturday night in the Class AA Final Four in Milledgeville came against the last program to do what the Patriots are trying to do.

Westside will face Toombs County Thursday March 7 at 3 p.m. at the Macon Coliseum for the Class AA state title game.
