Partnered with New York’s Ted’s Hot Dogs, a premium charcoal grilled hot dog restaurant founded in 1927, Whim Golf is opening its first ever Whim Golf Grill Shack in Augusta’s National Tire Battery parking lot, located at 2818 Washington Rd.

On April 3 to 6, the Whim Golf Shack will offer free charcoal grilled hot dogs to anyone that sinks a putt from noon to 7 p.m.

Aside from their freshly made hot dogs, just around the corner from the Augusta National Golf Club, the shack will also include a merchandise tent, free golf putting greens and beverages.

Whim, a U.S. based golf clothing company founded in 2019 from Chicago, IL, is known for its “Free Golf” putting green pop-up shops, which are intended to create a friendly atmosphere where people in major cities can try out golf for the first time.

“Its mission is to give new players a positive first impression with the game of golf,” according to a press release from Whim Golf. “Built to bridge the gap between art and sport, Whim designs timeless products, artful content, and immersive experiences that together build a community that shifts the narrative about who belongs in golf.”

With an enthusiasm to democratize golf, to-date Whim has welcomed over 10,000 people in urban areas of cities in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

Featuring over 190 styles of clothing, the Wall Street Journal said Whim “has broken through to the fashion industry.”
