Results from the North Augusta Mayor’s Republican primary Tuesday shows Britton Williams beating Stetson Corbitt by a wide margin. Shortly after the polls closed, Williams had 1511 votes to Corbitt’s 664.

An official total could not be obtained Wednesday because the administrative offices were closed, according to a recorded message from the city administration offices

“I am very excited and thankful,” said Williams in a text. “North Augusta’s future is bright, and we have to come together as a Republican Party to unite for the general election against Democrat candidate. As a community we can achieve great things together!”

Williams will face Democrat Richard Adams in the general election set for April.
