Windsor Fine Jewelers could be on the way to Riverwatch Parkway.

Donnie Thompson, owner of both Windsor and Friedman’s Jewelers, confirms that negotiations are underway to sell the current Washington Road properties at which both stores are located and move them to the former Comcast location on Riverwatch Parkway.

“We’re not 100% there,” said Thompson. “We’re at about 99%, so we’ve still got a little bit to do, but we’re working on plans.”

Thompson opted not to reveal the party who made the offer for the properties, though social media reports Augusta National Golf Club is seeking to buy.

“We have the [Comcast] property under auction,” Thompson said. “We haven’t closed out on it, but that’s the location that we like, and as it stands right now, that’s probably what we’re going to do.”
