A local woman has been captured for stabbing a Hephzibah man Saturday in his home, leaving him with injuries to his face, back and arm.

Braniyah Williams, 20, of Augusta, has been charged with aggravated assault in the bloody attack on 26-year-old Dequan Mims.

Williams allegedly entered through the garage of the victim’s home on Ethan Way. She came upstairs to his room wearing a pink mask and black clothing, stabbing Mims in the upper left arm, right back, and above his right eye. He was rushed to Wellstar MCG Health hospital.

A witness told deputies that he saw the woman enter the residence about 3 p.m. Saturday and she locked all of the doors behind her. Reacting quickly, he then kicked in the garage door and secured the minor children.

Video footage from house security caught Williams on camera in the pink mask and black clothing, fleeing the home on foot. A wanted flyer was posted by the sheriff’s office and was captured on Saturday and booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center.
