Woman wanted for adoption lies in Richmond County court

Lexus Brooks-Holloway is wanted for giving false statements in a government matter

Date: April 17, 2023

Richmond County authorities are seeking a woman for allegedly lying in her application to adopt two children through Richmond County Superior Court.

Lexus Brooks-Holloway, 30, is accused with Gary Holloway of giving false statements in a government matter.

The couple allegedly filed documents Dec. 6 for the adoption of Gary Holloway’s two children and swore to the Richmond County court that the minor children didn’t have a guardian or custodian other than their father. But, in reality, a Lexington County (S.C.) court had granted legal custody of the children to their maternal grandmother, Teisha Fry, on Aug. 12, 2022.

Brooks-Holloway is known to frequent Lexington County (S.C.), Richland County (S.C.), and the Augusta area.
