Aiken County man wanted for June 8 murder

An Aiken man is wanted for murder in the June 8 death of a man in Graniteville. 

According to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, arrested warrants have been obtained for Christion Alexander Reeves, 22, of Aiken, on charges of murder and possession of a weapon during violent crime.

“The investigation into Carroll’s death began on June 8 where deputies responded to Wellstar after reports of a Black male being brought to the emergency room with an apparent gunshot wound. Initial leads in this investigation led investigators to the intersection of Sage Creek Blvd and Bettis Academy Road as being the possible incident location. As the investigation progressed, it was determined that the shooting happened at a home in the 8100 block of Red Rock Way in Graniteville, S.C.,” the sheriff’s office said.
