A Belvedere woman was charged Tuesday with multiple child sex crimes involving a 2-year-old boy.

Kayla Reed, 35, of Catawba Road, was charged with four counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

According to warrants, she committed sexual battery on a 2-year-old boy by placing her mouth on his genitalia on more than one occasions and touching him. She also recorded the acts and sent a video over text message of her performing oral sex on the boy.

Authorities she admitted to the incident, which occurred once on May 23, and other times between Jan. 1 and March 4.

“This occurred with the intent of appealing to her sexual desires or lust,” according to a warrant that calls them “lewd and lascivious acts.”

Authorities have not indicated the woman’s relationship to the child. A sheriff’s report raises more questions than answers.

An Aiken man told officers that Reed sent him a Snapchat message saying that her boyfriend was “making her to sexual things to hr dog” and someone else, the report says. The man said he was simply friends with Reed and wanted to document the woman’s message.

An investigation led to the sex charges.
