The Augusta GreenJackets have entered into an agreement to become a part of Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH), an organization dedicated to supporting, promoting and enhancing the
sport of baseball through professional management, best practices, innovation and investment, according to a press release.

DBH is a subsidiary of Endeavor, a global sports and entertainment company. The sale of the club and a handful of others remains subject to the Professional Development League (PDL) approval process.

Endeavor established DBH and acquired multiple teams in one sweeping motion, starting with the Iowa Cubs, Memphis Redbirds, Scranton/Wilkes Barre RailRiders, Hudson Valley Renegades and San Jose Giants. Subject to the PDL approval, the group will also operate four of the reigning World Series champions Atlanta Braves’ affiliate clubs: the Gwinnett Stripers, Mississippi Braves, Rome Braves and the Augusta GreenJackets.

Following the closing of the transaction (which remains subject to PDL approval), the GreenJackets will continue to be led by club President, Jeff Eiseman, and remain an MLB affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.

“This is an exciting day for the GreenJackets,” said Jeff Eiseman, president of the Augusta GreenJackets. “DBH shares the values the GreenJackets have had in this community for over 30 years. The mission remains the same: to continue to be active in our community and grow the fan experience at SRP Park. The franchise’s best days are still ahead of us and the CSRA is vital part of the baseball world.”

As part of DBH, Eiseman will work with Diamond Baseball Holdings’ leadership, Pat Battle and Peter B. Freund. Battle is executive chairman of DBH, bringing experience at the local and national level, as well as ownership interest in two PDL teams. Freund is CEO of DBH, also bringing to the plate experience as a Minor League Baseball owner and operator. Freund most recently consulted with the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball on the transition of Major League Baseball’s licensed affiliates while spearheading the formation of the MLB Draft League.

“Diamond Baseball Holdings will be global in our ambitions and hyper-local in our approach, and creating incredible fan experiences will remain our number one priority,” said Battle and Freund. “Additionally, we look forward to providing opportunities for growth to the employees of PDL Clubs whose passion and ingenuity have built the sport through the decades.”

DBH will support the Augusta GreenJackets with ticket sales, partnerships, naming rights, food & beverage, merchandise, content strategy collectibles / authentics / NFTs and media rights, tapping into the broader Endeavor network for expertise across the various disciplines.
