Augusta University employees raised more than $387,000 during this year’s IGIVE campaign, marking a significant increase in participation and support for campus initiatives.

According to the university, 1,961 faculty and staff members contributed to the annual employee-giving drive, pushing participation to 48% — up from 41% last year.

Crowdfunding efforts like IGIVE continue to play a growing role in higher education fundraising, and AU officials noted that this year’s results highlight the impact of collective giving. University leaders said the donations will support a range of programs and initiatives across campus.

Seventy-six departments reached 100% participation, earning celebratory pizza parties for their teams.

“These 100% departments are important because they demonstrate a united commitment to our mission,” said Kelly Schulte, director of Annual Giving. “When every member of a department participates – regardless of the amount – it sends a powerful message that the people closest to the work believe in it. That unity is something donors, leadership and peers notice.”
