North Augusta Public Safety Officers peacefully arrested a barricaded subject following a domestic violence call Thursday.

Huzavier Derrez Davidson, 27, was charged with criminal domestic violence high and aggravated.

Officers were called to an apartment Thursday afternoon for reports of a domestic incident.

Dispatchers overheard Davidson arguing with a woman on the 911 call, threatening to shoot her. The woman was a recent victim of a criminal domestic violence high and aggravated. When officers arrived, Davidson ran into the apartment, and the female warned officers he had two firearms with him.

North Augusta SWAT negotiators made visual contact with Davidson through a window.

Negotiators spoke with Davidson for about 15 minutes over a public address system before he opened the door to the apartment, walked out and surrendered, unarmed. He was taken into custody and transported to Aiken County Detention Center.

Davidson will likely face additional charges according to a press release issued by the department.
