The Columbia County Board of Education will revisit bids for its building program at its regular meeting Tuesday evening.
The board’s proposed agenda for its regular session Aug. 24 includes an update regarding its construction project in which several schools throughout the county are undergoing expansions and renovations.
School Superintendent Steven Flynt presented a building program update at the Aug. 10 meeting to expound on the construction progress of Columbia Middle School, Greenbrier Middle School, Harlem Middle, Harlem High School, Grovetown High School and the District Support Complex.
The board is also slated to address the bid results for the demolition of the old North Harlem Elementary School. The Aug. 10 session saw the discussion of bidding results and contracting awards for copper and fiber cabling, power supply units and wireless access points and the board approving bids for each.
Flynt’s latest superintendent report will include of several upcoming events, including the Partner in Education Breakfast at Brandon Wilde retirement community in Evans; the New Employee Induction at Savannah Rapids Pavilion on Oct. 8; and the Teacher of the Year Banquet at White Oak Farm on Oct. 21.
