A Hephzibah man pleaded guilty Wednesday, July 13, to wire fraud in submitting a fraudulent application for a small business loan offered during the pandemic to help out small businesses.
Cameron Mills, 30, pleaded guilty in federal court, admitting he applied April 25, 2021, for a Payroll Protection Program loan of $20,833 by falsely claiming he operated a small business with revenue of $100,000 in 2019.
Mills will remain free on bond pending sentencing.
