My mother actually ate nuts all day.

I remember vividly as I became a wife and mother myself, and we would go to visit in St. Simon’s, she had so little in the refrigerator or pantry to eat EXCEPT for the shelf that was filled with every imaginable type of peanut: salted, no salt, honey-roasted, chocolate covered – you name it.

I remember thinking, “How could one live off of nothing but nuts?”  Now I know.

I had so much fun with the show this week. Peanuts are truly my favorite food and to share sweet and savory recipes with this ingredient is truly enjoyable to me. I’m sure you will feel the passion in my voice and also get hungry yourself as you watch each dish being prepared. My goal, to really highlight the Georgia Peanut Association and showcase our Georgia crop that I’m very proud to represent.

Yes, I guess you would say that calling me a NUT is a compliment!
