The Columbia County Board of Commissioners will be hosting a job fair from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 9, at the Columbia County Exhibition Center.
Columbia County’s Exhibition Center is located at 212 Partnership Drive in Grovetown.
According to Public Relations Manager Cassidy Harris, Columbia County will have team members from code enforcement, facility maintenance, fire rescue, fleet services, geographic information systems, human resources, information technology, library services, public transit, parks recreation and events, roads and bridges, road construction, storm water operations and compliance, traffic engineering and water utility, and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office will be at the job fair to provide interested candidates an overview of available positions and answer any questions a candidate might have.

Columbia County government jobs offer a starting base pay of $15 an hour, 11 paid holidays, retirement plan, employee medical clinic education tuition reimbursement, free life insurance, on-site training, wellness program and employee fitness center.

The City of Grovetown will also be hosting a job fair at from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19 at Liberty Park. Many representatives from different entities are expected to be in attendance to promote open positions and other opportunities.
