Dear Editor,
With wit and verve, Sylvia Cooper’s National Enquirer style of journalism kept her loyal readers entertained for years.
Now that she has announced yet another retirement, which no one believes or wants to believe will be her “final” retirement, a host of self-serving public officials can exhale and get back to business as usual.
That, for me, is the sad part of Sylvia’s retirement. Who now will step forward, scratch in the dirt, and keep us abreast of the shady dealings taking place down at the Marble Palace?
I hate to see that searchlight turned off just when we need her the most.
