South Carolina sophomore forward Colin Murray-Boyle scored 22 points and added 10 rebounds in leading the Gamecocks to a win over Texas, 84-69, in Columbia on Saturday night, ending a 13-game losing streak. After Texas took an early lead, the Gamecocks dominated the first half to lead by 18 points at the break and captured their first Southeastern Conference win of the season by defeating the visiting Longhorns. In addition to Murray-Boyles, South Carolina had three other players hit double digits in scoring, guards Jabari Thomas (15) and Zachary Davis (12) and forward Morris Ogusuk (10). Texas guard Tre Johnson led all scorers with 29 points in a losing effort. The Gamecocks will return to action on Tuesday night in a road match against No. 15/16 Missouri. Staff photos by Rob Davis
