Premier Networx broke ground Wednesday morning on its new cyber technology center.

“We are thrilled to announce the groundbreaking of our new building,” said Premier Networx President and CEO Chad Harpley.

The new state-of-the art building will allow the company to provide more services to both small- and medium-sized companies. The expansion allows the company to hire for several new technical positions as well as gain more service commitments.

“These specialists will allow us to increase our product and service offerings to businesses in the greater Augusta area,” said Harpley.

The new facility will be located on Riverwatch Parkway in Augusta. The 14,000 square-foot building will have a 50-person-capacity training room just for clients. Company leadership says its goal is to help customers feel comfortable with technology. Premier Networx prides itself on putting the customer first and providing exceptional IT services, said Harpley.

“We do IT right,” he added.

The building should be completed by summer or late fall of 2021.

Since opening in 2013, the company has grown not only in size but also in recognition.

Premier Networx has won a variety of awards including Columbia County’s small business of the year in 2013. It made Inc.’s 5,000 list of fastest-growing companies in America.

Harplay’s organization is the only local IT company that supports both Microsoft and Apple.

The company is also committed to community service, Harplay said. It is a contributor to Safe Homes of Augusta, The Burn Foundation of America, The Kidney Foundation and many others.
