An Augusta man was shot in both legs following a fight Sunday morning outside the Walmart on Windsor Spring Road in Hephzibah, authorities said.
Roshawn White Sr., 45, was expected to survive the gunshot wounds that happened during a physical fight with a man and woman who he knows, authorities said.
The suspects, 31-year-old Klaimon Bradford and 25-year-old Brianna Owens, had fired at White’s car as the vehicle was pulling into the Walmart just before 10 a.m. Sunday, a sheriff’s report says. The driver of White’s car, 47-year-old Teresa Proctor, drove into the parking lot trying to avoid the suspects. But the suspect vehicle cut her off and then both suspects and White all exited their vehicles.
White then confronted the pair, and they got in a brief physical altercation which lead to the Bradford shooting the victim before driving off. The victim was taken to Augusta University Medical Center for treatment. A teenager in the victim’s car was not injured.
“It was learned that the suspect and victim knew each other from past associations,” sheriff’s Lt. Kimberly Lee said in a press release.
Bradford and Owens are both being sought for aggravated assault. A photo of Owens was not available.
Bradford is the same man who served time for a 2010 burglary in Richmond County. His listed residence is in Girard, Ga. Owens is listed as a resident of Hephzibah.
