Date: June 24, 2022

Three people are wanted for questioning after an assault at Scottish Inn June 18.

Richmond County deputies were called to the hotel at 1079 Stevens Creek Rd., where they found Brandon Strong covered in blood and sitting in his truck, according to the incident report. He said someone tried to rob him.

Strong said he and his friend, Clifford Blake, were drinking in their hotel room when he went to the bathroom and unknown black male entered the room yelling and asking where someone was. Strong attempted to leave the bathroom, but the intruder opened the door, pointed a handgun at him and pushed him into the bathtub, the report said.

During a physical altercation in the bathroom, the man hit Strong in the head causing multiple lacerations. Strong was able to wrestle the gun away, but the intruder bit off part of his ear and fled the room.

Strong later admitted he was going to Blake’s room to get cocaine, but Blake wouldn’t sell it to him because he thought he was a cop, according to the report. Blake, who the room belonged to, was not on the scene at the time of the deputies’ arrival, according to the report.

Strong was transferred to Doctors Hospital for further treatment.

Blake is wanted for questioning in reference to the aggravated assault. Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is also looking for another unknown female and male for questioning.

Anyone who has any information as to her identity or whereabouts is asked to contact Inv. Tyler Steerman or any on call investigator at the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 821-1427 or (706) 821-1020.
