A pickup truck traveling east on I -20 left the roadway and crashed into the I-20/I-520 overpass bridge. The driver of the vehicle died on the scene and was pronounced dead at 5:15 a.m.

The vehicle burst into flames and was extinguished by the fire department. The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle. An autopsy is scheduled.  Identity will be released once positive identification has been made, according to Bowen.
