The GBI has been asked to assist McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation into a homicide that occurred on Dallas Drive in Thomson.
At approximately 10:50 p.m., Nov. 29, McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the home of Frank Brinson, 26, on the 1400 block of Dallas Drive after receiving reports of shots fired.
Brinson was discovered unresponsive inside the home, having suffered at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to Doctors Hospital in Augusta where he ultimately died from his injuries.
Initial findings indicate that two unknown black males attempted to rob Brinson at his home and one of the men shot Brinson in the process, according to GBI Special Agent in Charge Patrick E. Morgan.
